Best Broadbeach Accommodation
Best Broadbeach Accommodation
We have travelled to the Gold Coast a number of times and stayed in many different hotels, however, Broadbeach accommodation has to be one of the best areas to stay being close to top restaurants, beach, Pacific Fair, The Star and many top hotels.
While staying in Broadbeach we have had the opportunity to stay in different types of accommodation here are a couple of great options that we would highly recommend for your stay in Broadbeach.
Mertion Suites Broadbeach

The Meriton Suites Broadbeach have been newly refurbished, 32 floors and designed as two blocks. The suites are modern and stylish, a block back from the beach and offer studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites which have ocean and hinterland views and are fully self-contained. The Mertion Suites are great for travellers, couples and families.
As the building has recently been refurbished guests will enjoy stylish and sophisticated furnishings, open plan living spaces, laundry facilities and balconies. The one, two and three bedroom apartments come with fully equipped kitchens and the studios come with a kitchenette.
The Mertion Suites facilities include an indoor lap pool, outdoor pool, spa sauna, well-equipped gym, as well as an area to BBQ and tropical themed garden. There is also a coffee cart to grab a coffee in the morning as you head for a walk to the beach, free wifi, underground parking (slight charge).
There is no restaurants/bar on-site, however, you can get delivery to suite and are within easy walking distance to the hub of trendy broadbeach beach, restaurants, cafes and bars.
What did we like about the Meriton Suites Broadbeach
The staff were super friendly on arrival we asked for an upgrade and after being shown the rooms we declined being upgraded to a 1 bedroom ocean view suite, (which is a first for us) instead we opted for the 29th floor ocean view studio suite as situated on the corner of the building with a massive deck and incredible views.
They also offered us free car parking and a late check out which was wonderful. As l had mentioned it was our anniversary there was a complimentary bottle of bubbles and a balloon waiting for us, a very nice touch.
What we enjoyed about the ocean view studio suite was the amazing view which seemed to stretch for miles where we enjoyed, breakfasts with an incredible view of the ocean line. Surfer's Paradise looked wonderful at night with all the lights from the buildings lighting up the skyline.
In regards to location to Broadbeach, within a few minutes walk to all the trendy bars, restaurants, cafes and boutique shops. For us, Broadbeach feels completely different to Surfers Paradise with fewer tourists and smaller hotels. Broadbeach feels more refined, more local and that's what we like about Broadbeach. Meriton Suites Broadbeach is value for money with modern suites, great staff and views.
The Wave Resort Broadbeach
The Wave Resort in Broadbeach features self-contained 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments with partial ocean and city views, towering 34 stores high.
They have been designed for couples and families and are fully self-contained. All apartments have modern kitchens, laundry facilities and balconies. You are provided with basic amenities when you arrive, like washing powder and dishwashing liquid.
The Wave Resort is situated in a great location of main Broadbeach shopping area and central to cafes, bars, restaurants and shops and around a 5min walk to the beach
The Wave Resort includes a great selection of facilities including the sky pool, spa and sauna located on the 34 floor offering amazing skyline views of the Gold Coast especially spectacular at night.
On level four you will find the infinity pool, spa & sauna, steam room and poolside BBQ area, and a fully equipped gym. They also offer free WIFI and car parking for 1 car per apartment.
What we did like about The Wave Resort
We enjoyed the size of the one bedroom ocean view apartment with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay and with a modern kitchen, you have the option of being able to eat in or dine out.
We thought the rooftop pool and area is very nice touch with incredible skyline views, great for a few pics.
Do not get us wrong the infinity pool on the fourth floor is very impressive, however, we travelled at peak time and Waves was packed with families so any quiet time by the pool was not an option.
Value for money Waves is a great option and we think really well suited for families and large groups, rather than couples. To tip to get a higher floor as it can get a bit noisy as its right in the middle of Broadbeach.
